Nishtha Khurana is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 17 years of experience in the fields of Internal Audits, Operational Risk Management, SOX, Risk Management, Internal Controls, etc.
She is currently working as the India Head of Internal Audit for Home Credit India Finance Pvt. Ltd. In fact, she has set-up the Internal Audit department from the scratch.
She has previously worked with reputed organizations like RBS Group (where she was involved in Risk Reporting and Analytics and in setting up the Operational Risk Framework within the group as well as the Global Financial Services), and Deloitte.
Nishtha completed her Chartered Accountancy at a very young age of 22 years which is a rare feat in itself. She has also completed her Masters (namely, Masters in International and Development Economics) from University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany where she won the DAAD Best Student at FHTW award. Prior to that she had completed her graduation in B.Com. (Hons.) from Sri Ram College of Commerce (Delhi University, Delhi, India). She has also attended and successfully completed the ‘Embedding Leadership Excellence’ Programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. Moreover, she is a certified facilitator having cleared “The Effective Facilitator” certification from the prestigious organization “Leadership Strategies” with flying colours.
She has strong organizational and leadership skills; a keen eye for detail; and an ability to work well with people. She enjoys working in a multi-cultural and dynamic environment and can be a valuable part of any senior management team. At a personal level, she is an avid reader; a blogger and a passionate supporter and promoter of Handlooms in India.
